School Ambassadors

Article 12
Every child has the right to say what they think in all matters affecting them, and to have their views taken seriously.

Historically at SSPP, Year 6 pupils were given the opportunity and responsibility to become Head Boy and Head Girl, with a Deputy for each.  We realised though, this was limiting the most suitable candidates, as we had to assign the roles by genders.  A number of years ago, we made the switch to four Ambassadors, so that the best could be chosen regardless of whether they were a boy or a girl.

These children 'pitch' their leadership qualities before the group is reduced to a smaller set who are interviewed by the Head Teacher.  From these interviews, our final four Ambassadors are chosen each year.

They meet weekly with the Head and are the real 'face' of SSPP for all visitors, and a focal point for other children.
